 Visita de los astronautas españoles de Leon, Pablo y Sara, al Equipo CESAR en ESAC,
(spanish version)

El pasado 21 de diciembre, tuvimos la gran suerte de recibir la visita en el centro de Astronomía Espacial (ESAC), en Villanueva del Pardillo, la visita de los nuevos astronautas españoles de ESA, Pablo Álvarez Fernández y Sara García Alonso coordinada por el Equipo de Comunicación de ESAC.

Visitaron los distintos departamentos que trabajan en ESAC y entre ellos al Equipo Educativo CESAR. Tuvimos la gran suerte de poder saludarles y hablar de un modo distendido con ellos lo que nos permitió mostrarles nuestra admiración y poder contarles las actividades educativas y divulgativas que realizamos en el Equipo, tanto dentro como fuera de ESAC y sobre los telescopios CESAR. Pablo y Sara mostraron un gran interés en todas ellas y podemos contar ya con su participación en algunas de estas como en los cursos de profesores CESAR en castellano que tendrán lugar entre las fechas 6-9 de febrero y 22-25 de mayo, así como en charlas dedicadas para la iniciativa 11F, día de la niña en la ciencia.

El tour por ESAC concluyó con una sesión abierta para todo ESAC con Pablo y Sara y un café, donde por supuesto los trabajadores de ESAC tuvimos la oportunidad de preguntarles todas nuestras curiosidades sobre el proceso de selección y su futuro, así como fotografiarnos junto a ellos como grandes referentes para todos nosotros y las nuevas generaciones.

El ciclo formativo CESAR & Co 2023-2024, El espacio, un aula para todos, finalizó el 23 de mayo, promoviendo la inclusión y diversidad en la ciencia. Participaron 147 docentes de España y Argentina, y se realizaron cursos sobre gigantes gaseosos, agujeros negros y exoplanetas habitables.
