New Archive Viewer tool
The educational project CESAR presents the tool CESAR Archive Viewer. We expect to improve the experience of the students with the scientific cases.

CESAR Archive Viewer is a web tool for browsing the data obtained in the educational projet CESAR. All observations are classified and ordered so you can find the best images of our observatories.

CESAR Archive Viewer

Every day, our observatories takes pictures of the stars and upload them to the CESAR Archive repository. In the videos section you can see a timelapse of all the pictures of that day.

You can search the photos by applying filters. For example you can search for a specific date, get high quality images, get from a specific observatory. You can also collaborate on the project by voting the best observations and thus study the best quality observations.

This tool will allow you to download the observations with the best quality, export all metadata, share and vote the observations.

It’s developed using Docker, Apache, PHP and MySQL. All the observations are uploaded to this FTP after going through a pipeline that adjust the image, classifies it and uploads it to the data base.

Thanks to the trainee Fran Acién and CESAR Team for the development of this tool.
