THE CesaR INITIATIVE TRAINEE PROJECT: TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES AT ESAC

INTRODUCTION

CesaR (Cooperation through Education in Science and Astronomy Research) is a joint educational programme developed by the European Space Agency (ESA), the Spanish National Institute for Aerospace Technology (INTA) and the INTA-owned company ISDEFE.

Since its main objective is to provide students with hands-on experience in Astronomy, CesaR regularly participates in trainee programmes which take place at the European Space Astronomy Centre (ESAC), Madrid, Spain and offers to students, preferably with scientific or engineering background, to contribute to the CesaR initiative.

In this context, CesaR is now offering the following traineeships:


 

WHO CAN APPLY?

  • Applicants with background in astronomy, astrophysics, physics, mathematics and informatics, who are in the last year of their bachelor’s degree or studying a master’s degree.

CONDITIONS

  • Traineeships last six months.
  • Traineeships are unpaid, however a daily allowance may be granted.
  • Trainees have to provide their own health insurance, accident insurance and travel expenses.

    • Subject (C001 or C002, depending on your interest)
    • Your CV (pdf or doc format)
    • Motivation letter
    • Availability (start date)
  • You will be contacted shortly after the deadline if you have been invited for an interview. In this interview (to be organised at ESAC) you will have the opportunity to talk to the tutor of the project.
