Participants from IE University’s Space Sector Unlocked programme recently visited ESAC to learn more about ESA and the activities at the centre.

The visit started with an introduction to ESA and its different establishments by Juan Carlos Muñoz-Delgado.

After that, María Herranz, from the CESAR team, guided the group around ESAC, showing them some of the main facilities and explaining the work carried out at the site.

The group also visited the Real-Time Operations Rooms, where Larry O’Rourke (PLATO), Blanca Juárez (XMM-Newton) and Jorge Fauste (SMOS) shared their knowledge and experience about space operations.

Many thanks to Larry, Blanca and Jorge for their time and explanations, and to Juan Carlos for welcoming the group and introducing ESA.

It was a pleasure for CESAR to guide the participants during their visit to ESAC.

Thank you to everyone who made this visit possible!
