Next Generation of Aerospace Engineers Tour ESA Facility

On December 12, 2025, thirteen aerospace students from the Universidad Carlos III of Madrid were privileged to tour our center during the year of the European Space Agency's 50th anniversary.

The visit began with an exhibition of our engineering models. Engineer María Herranz guided this segment, offering expert commentary and an in-depth view of operational, past, and future missions.

Subsequently, Blanca Juárez presented the real-time operational control room for the high-energy satellite launched in 1999, underscoring the enduring technological value of this long-running mission.

The tour concluded with a demonstration led by Jorge Fauste, who explained the significance and diverse applications of the live data downlink from the SMOS (Soil Moisture and Ocean Salinity) mission.
