Turin Astrophysics Students Visit Our Facilities for a Specialized Tour |
On 17th of September a group of nine astrophysics students from Turin visited our facilities today for an in-depth educational tour. The visit was designed to provide the students with hands-on insight into our ongoing projects.
The tour began with an exhibition of our engineering models, led by Engineer María Herranz, who provided expert commentary on their design and function. The students showed particular interest in the high-energy astronomy satellite, XMM-Newton.
Following this, the group was shown the real-time data downlink from the SMOS (Soil Moisture and Ocean Salinity) mission, another highlight of their visit. This segment was conducted by Jose, who explained the significance and applications of the live satellite data.
The visit provided a valuable opportunity for the aspiring scientists to connect their theoretical studies with practical engineering and operational space science.
