The Mass of Jupiter - IES Francisco Gines de los Rios
17/May/201833 students - 4ºESO
Last thursday, 33 students from IES Francisco Gines de los Rios came to ESAC to work on the scientific case "The Mass of Jupiter". This case tests the hability of the students to measure with precision because they have to measure the mass of jupiter using the universal gravity law and obervational data taken by Galileo in 1610. Although it may sound difficult at the beggining the students were able to measure the mass with minimal error. Congratulations because they were able to understand how this worked in just one hour without any previous knowledge from school!
After the scientific case we saw the scale models of different space missions like Gaia or Rosetta. The visit was a success and we hope to see you again soon!
