Exploring the Interstellar Medium

In this Science Case students will explore in ESAsky ESA Mission's data and study the Inter Stellar Medium. Students will learn about the Structures in the Inter Stellar Medium and how to extract data out of astronomical images.

This science case takes advantage of the ESAsky tool. This science case analyze the different regions within the stars (dust and gas). The evolutionary stage of the stars and the amount of dust found by their radiation in the way to the observer (ESA satellite detectors) will made them detectable at different wavelengths. This science case provides you with tools to perform a meaningful and easy astrophysical analysis of the ISM. Then, the door is open for you to continue with this exploration using ESAsky.

ESASky is a science driven discovery portal providing full access to the entire sky as observed with Space astronomy missions. In this scientific case you will learn what the Interstellar Medium is made of and how its secrets are unrevealed by the ESA Space mission.

This science case provides you with tools to perform a meaningful and easy astrophysical analysis of the ISM. Then, the door is open for you to continue with this exploration using ESAsky.
