Francisco Angel Espartero Briceno, director of the Observatorio Andaluz de Astronomia (OAA) has organized a presentation by the Andalusian company Nematia Ingeniería about a new material for mirrors (reflexis plastic).

Although the development is funded by Repsol with the focus on mirrors for solar power power plants, the new material might also be usable for telescope mirrors.
