In this experience, we will examine oceans, seas, and rivers as well as mountains and valleys from a satellite, ¿will you join us?
The material for the classroom before coming to ESAC can be divided into two parts:
From the early days, the human being has tried to understand the Universe. By staring at the stars at night men and women invented stories about what the different groups of stars, called constellations, represented. Different cultures originated different stories about what the constellations represented.
As we start to learn more about the Universe we find that "homogeneity" is constant everywhere. Therefore studying other stars and planets will help us to improve our knowledge of our origin and evolution.
The evolution of our planet has a huge impact on us. For that reason, we send satellites out to look down at the Earth which allows us to study the weather, variations in the oceans, animal migrations, deserted areas, and earthquakes. Some satellites are used for communications and navigation as well.
