What is the scientific method about?
A research method that consists on observing, asking questions and confirming/rejecting the initial hypothesis with experiments
A way of organising the instrumentation in a scientific lab
A cyclic method of observation-experimentation-testing

What of these statements about the European Space Agency are correct
It is a travel Agency for Europe formed by 22 countries
It has a scientific fleet of more than 10 satellites studying the solar system
It has a scientific fleet of more than 10 satellites studying the cosmos
ESA does not use social media to communicate to the public the latest discoveries

Why is it important to study the Universe in various wavelengths (colours)?
Because depending in the wavelength we may see a different energetic process
To have a nice coloured image
To get to know all the phenomena/interactions around celestial objects
If the size of the wavelength is different to the size of the dust grains in the line of sight, we will see the region quite clear
Because dust grains can block the light from objects behind clouds if they have the same size as the wavelength

In a nutshell the types of objects that we observe in the Universe are
Planets, stars, clusters of stars, galaxies and clusters of galaxies
Among stars there is nothing, just vacuum
Among stars there is a matter in form of gas and dust, called interstellar medium
Detected by their emitting light (in the visible and invisible spectrum)
is the 5% of the matter of the Universe, called ordinary matter

Stars
do have different colours, depending where the emission of their emitted light peaks
as humans evolve during their life time
get formed from an initial cloud and their planets are part of the same evolution
get formed when there is a compensation of forces between external pressure of nuclear reactions and internal gravitational forces
depending on their initial mass will evolve

Cluster of stars
are called open clusters when stars are young (blue) and globular clusters when they are older and denser
are called open clusters when stars are old (red) and globular clusters when they are younger and joint by less tight forces

Galaxies
are differenciated by their morphology in elliptical, lenticular and spiral. Some of the galaxies that do not fit in this category are called irregular.
are all equal in shape but could have different sizes
like the Milky Way tend to have the elder stars in the outer part of the galaxy and the youngest closer to the disk

ESASky is a science driven discovery portal providing full access to the entire sky
as observed with ESA Space astronomy missions and ground-based telescopes
in the visible range only
and to rigurous astronomical catalogues and databases
